; And as I was left alone by the side of that godforsaken road, nothing anymore but a face in the crowd,
I found myself thinking.
How can the absence of something take up so much space inside of me?

Perhaps, it is the importance you attach to this “something”. I am sure you do not feel the absence of things you do not attach importance to. That “something” differs from person to person and in the same person, that s”something” deffers from time to time. As long as this “something” is relevant to society at large, its absence is necessary. If the “something” is important to only a person and not necessary for the society, the absence can only make a person appear selfish and society appear heartless…. Think about it!
